Appears to have gone missing.  May have returned to Australia or jumped ship during war time.  The death information below doesn’t have  quite the right date so may not be correct but there was a Clarence GRIFFITHS who died at Masterton, New Zealand.  “In Loving Memory of Marion GRIFFITH died May 1932 aged 56; also Clarence GRIFFITHS died Nov 1935 aged 67. At Rest.”
